Your guide will meet you at your hotel in Lisbon, where you will be picked up for your 3 Villages tour. On the way to Óbidos (1:15hr north), enjoy the beautiful mountainous landscape.

Your tour begins at Óbidos, with its whitewashed houses and craft shops, described by Condé Nast Traveler as a "medieval town that looks like it was lifted from the pages of a fairy tale".
Upon arrival, your tour guide takes you to the top attractions on a walking tour to explore the medieval streets of the Old Town. Taste the famous "ginjinha" of Obidos, a cherry-liqueur served in a chocolate cup. And if you feel brave, you can climb the 1100s castel walls.
Nazaré: Hilltop vistas and fresh seafood lunch
Great ocean views await at the Nazare cliff! And, if it's winter (Nov-Feb), fingers crossed for a chance to see the giant waves. You'll have free time to enjoy lunch on your own, explore the picturesque fishing town and enjoy the coastline.

Óbidos is within castle walls
Not all built at the same time or by the order of one king. Started with a small watch tower and then a castle and its primitive walls. Access is through 4 gates and 2 doors. It has two keep towers, the last defensive resort and a place of command of troops.
Óbidos is known as the Queens' Town
The relation of the town with the queens is ancestral. The lands were donated to all Queens of Portugal from 1210 to 1834. It has always been one of the most fascinating towns in Portugal due to the care of all of them.
Obidos is also famous for its bookstores
14, to be more precise. One of them in a church. The town administration developed a literature programme that included an international literary festival, Folio. In 2015, Óbidos was recognized by UNESCO as Village of Literature.

"Great tour to hit different parts of Portugal in 1 day. First stop, Monastery of Batalha, has a lot of interesting history and stunning architecture. Then, epic scenery at Nazare. Last, we went to the medieval town of Obidos, which was beautiful!! It was great to explore and provided opportunities for some creative photos. Our guide, Luis, was one of a kind – the best we had in Portugal. He had outstanding knowledge and real passion. Made the experience unforgettable. Plus, it was nice to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel, not having to worry about getting out to a meeting point. Private tour is the way to go! Amazing value for all you see and do. "The tour was great from start to finish. An amazing experience with the best guide. Sandra picked us up from our Lisbon hotel at 8:30am and brought us over to the little quaint town of Obidos for a walking tour with lots of fascinating facts. We were also able to explore on our own and support a lot of the little shops along the way eheh. From there we went to the spectacular ocean cliffs of Sitio at Nazare. Lunch was the cherry on top of a perfect cake. She gave us wonderful options at Nazare and her recommendation was spot on. We had a very fresh and perfectly prepared seabass, and a delicious seafood stew. Last, we went to Batalha, where she immersed us with the history and stories about the monastery. She brought everything to life and involved all of us. Brilliant. Certainly recommend her and this trip."

The monastery of Batalha has an interesting history and he helped us understand the context in which the oldest alliance in the world emerged, between England and Portugal. He is top notch!
